been precipitated largely by certain vaccinations. Such practices may have consequences that appear ten to fifteen years after the initial vaccination, which I believe is the case with multiple sclerosis.
Is it a coincidence that underdeveloped countries which did not have obligatory vaccination programs twenty years ago have no incidence of this disease today? It is my estimation that African immigrants living in America and Europe display the same incidence of multiple sclerosis as the native populations, proving that environmental, not genetic factors are of primary etiological concern.
Arab countries in general have practically no incidence of multiple sclerosis, while Israel, whose population has migrated mostly from western countries and has had obligatory vaccinations, has one of the highest incidences of multiple sclerosis.
I do not claim that this disease has appeared only because of vaccinations, but I do believe that its alarming rate of proliferation has been accelerated by the advent of vaccinations. Vaccinations disturb the immune system, and I strongly believe that quite soon it will be established, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that multiple sclerosis is due to a specific defect in the immune system.
How responsible has the BCG vaccination (anti-tubercular) been for the "explosion" of rheumatoid arthritis in our times? In laboratory experiments on rats it has been shown beyond question that BCG vaccination creates a condition very similar to rheumatoid arthritis.
The main question that established medicine must ask is how much and how far can we intervene in the infinitely complex and interdependent mechanisms of the human defense system without permanently damaging its ecology?
I understand that all these ideas may sound presumptuous or arbitrary, and I also perceive that such a stand may seem like a collective rejection of all the attainments of modern medicine, but I assure you that this is definitely not my intention.
All I propose at this stage is that established medicine keep an open mind and take an intelligent, hard look at the whole health issue. At present, it does not seem to be proceeding in the right direction. Despite having achieved the appearance of protecting health and saving lives, it has not realistically estimated the cost in long-term side effects of its usual health-care practices.
