Sleep
Sleepy but cannot sleep, is the prominent symptom here. ‘If he sits down during the day, he wants to sleep, but as soon as he lies down, he is unable to fall asleep.’ Sometimes a kind of drowsiness and stupefaction, but without sleep; unable to open eyes.
Sleeplessness with many complaints, and a total inability to remain in bed when pain, anxiety, etc. come on; has to leave the bed and walk the floor, or at least to restlessly toss and turn about in bed. Insomnia after taking drugs such as morphine, potassium bromide, chloral hydrate, or others. Sleep disturbed by pain.
Sleeplessness especially before midnight, in the ‘forepart of the night,’ on account partly of heat and restlessness, partly of painful weakness in limbs. Tremendous heat at night, cannot sleep; with burning, unquenchable thirst and dry tongue. Can’t stand the covers because of heat; but on uncovering he is chilly and shivers.
Sleeplessness of children, who constantly want to be carried around; but sometimes finally falling asleep after midnight and sleeping soundly till the morning. Disturbances of sleep, with states of restlessness, often in connection with infections; sudden onset of the pathology.
Restless sleep, with whining, moaning, crying and howling, talking, starting, screaming, turning and tossing. Looks gloomy, fretful, sad during sleep; sleep appears to be rather aggravating and annoying to him.
Convulsive twitching of single limbs just when falling asleep.
In the morning extreme weakness, cannot rise from bed.
Snoring inspiration, slightly opened mouth and hot, sticky sweat on forehead during sleep.
Fever
As mentioned above, Chamomilla persons are very sensitive to cold and especially windy air, tend to catch a cold easily, with many ill consequences of it; but at the same time also sensitive to heat, especially warm covering (whereas warm applications may relieve sometimes). In painful conditions and other acute states, they tend to be extremely hot and thirsty; tends to get high fever in infectious diseases, inflammations, etc.; long-lasting fever heat, with violent thirst and frequent starting during sleep; heat and sweat after eating
