rending, burning pain, first right, then left.
An inclination to ‘crack the joints’; to stretch the limbs, particularly at night. Pressure upon the shoulder.
Dull drawing and tearing in the arms and the hands.
Griping and clawing as from a band around the elbow, from warmth.
Feeling of fullness in the hand on grasping anything.
Trembling hands. Unsteadiness of muscles of forearm and hand; twitching and trembling of fingers while writing; writer’s cramp.
Drawing pain in finger joints.
Pain in the fingertips as if they were to burst.
Warts at hands and fingers, especially at the finger tips and around the nails. udden severe pain in hip joint as if sprained, has to limp for some steps; also disappearing suddenly. Bursting hip pain on coughing. Coxarthrosis.
Pain as if bruised in thighs and legs, in the morning in bed.
Drawing and tearing pain in thighs, knees, legs, feet.
Skin of thighs and legs full of dark red veins, as if marbled.
Knees give way on walking.
Painful cracking in knees, when walking and descending, as if they would break.
A case of Wegener’s: arthrosis of the right knee, gradually progressing; with a strange buzzing and crawling feeling in the knee as from ants, and a sensation as if cold water were running down on both sides of the knee to the ankles along a narrow line. This symptom, resembling a proving symptom where the ‘cold water sensation’ began at the clavicula, was a strong hint for Causticum which acted beautifully.
Violent tearing in knee, cannot step; increased at night, awakens from sleep, cannot fall sleep again.
Feeling as if something were too short in bend of knee, on standing; extending from buttocks to calf.
Tension in bends of knee on sitting and on beginning to walk; better by conti¬nued walking.
Violent tearing in tendons beneath right calf.
Gouty tearing in region of lower leg, especially in the small joints of the feet, with swelling of parts.
Cramps in calves; in soles and toes.
