Throat
Belladonna has all manner of pharyngeal and tonsillar inflammations, often as a consequence of exposure to cold or to draughts. In fact, Belladonna is probably the most frequently indicated remedy for acute suppurative tonsillitis; perhaps thirty percent of these cases require Belladonna.
The intolerance to tight collars of Belladonna has been mentioned; a subtle distinction between this intolerance and that of Lachesis is that Lachesis has a sense of constriction that is largely of psychological origin. Belladonna patients
have this aversion to tight collars because of the increased heat and congestion of the head which they induce. However, Belladonna does not have sensitivity
