Celle Seminar I, Case 1: Epilepsy/Asthma

other videos will remember that this sort of aggressiveness is also an aspect of Pulsatilla. Do not be put off by the fact that Pulsatilla is usually mild and soft because it can also show-off and show aggression. Finally, the description of her character together with other general symptoms, such as the desire for ice cream, point towards Pulsatilla.
Why didn’t I inquire further and ask whether she feels better in open air, or if she wanted the window open? If I had asked these types of questions, everyone would have known what I was thinking. It was for this reason that I limited my questions so that they would not be too obvious, otherwise I would have had nothing to say. I would have come into the class and you would all have said, » Pulsatilla. Let’s continue.« What is important here is that you should be able to determine the remedy before it is too obvious. However, your conclusion must also be based on facts. She has an aversion to fat. When she’s hot she sticks her feet out from underneath the covers. If someone were to comment that Pulsatilla accompanied by such a serious illness as epilepsy is unusual, I wouldn’t see this as being contradictory because Pulsatilla can also have an affect on epilepsy.
Last year I was presented with a case of a heavily epileptic child. This child was five years old, retarded and epileptic. He had already been given 185 remedies. As far as I’m concerned this child was given virtually the entire materia medica-185 remedies is half of the materia medica. For some of us it is the entire materia medica because we don’t even use 185 remedies. What total confusion! All I could say was »Oh, my God!« Again, I pursued the same method of investigation that I employed in the case just discussed. I turned to the child’s mild character, to the fact that he needed attention, consolation, and wanted to be caressed. The whole materia medica had been given except for Pulsatilla, and precisely this is what I saw in the child’s soft mannerisms. Today the child is doing beautifully with Pulsatilla potencies alone whereas before he was under epileptic drugs. So you see, Pulsatilla is clearly an important remedy. If you need Pulsatilla, you have to give Pulsatilla. Later on you may see that
