Celle Seminar I, Case 11: Cervical Spine Syndrome

don’t want to see anybody at all, I don’t even want to see members of my family. But when I’m at home, I never have occasion to be alone. When I get the opportunity to be alone I enjoy it very much, (laughs)
(G. V): If you are alone too long, do you seek company? (F.P.): Yes, but I can be alone for a week with no problem. Another extreme point is my sleep: either I don’t sleep at all or only very shortly. I wake up at 4:00 a.m. full of energy and the desire to do something for myself alone. But then sometimes I don’t go to bed in the evening at all. It was even like that during my school days. I would start to do my homework at midnight and then at 3:00 a.m., I would wonder what I would do next. This would go on for a few weeks, and then it would be followed by a phase in which I would feel tired and I would sleep like a normal person, say 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. But I have phases when I lie down on the sofa in the living room at 8:30 p.m. only to find myself being woken up by my husband at 10:00 p.m. saying that it’s is time to go to bed. (G. V.): Do you have any fears?
(F.P.): I had a lot of fears as a child, like fear of thunderstorms, a strong fear of spiders, darkness, etc. (G. V.): Did you overcome all these fears?
(F.P.): Yes, I think so, even the fear of darkness. It was not that long ago, ever since I was at a Yoga retreat. (G. V): What did you do there? (F.P.): Meditate. (G. V.): What year was that? (F.P.): 1987.
(G. V.): Until that time you had a tremendous fear of the dark? (F.P.): I was afraid of walking alone at night. I was always frightened that somebody might be following me. (G. V.): You’ve been married twice? (F.P.): Yes.
(G. V.): Do you have normal sexual desires? (F.P.): Yes, if I’m in harmony with my partners. (G. V.): Are there times when you fight with your partner?
