George Vithoulkas

(G. V.): Before going into homeopathy, had you been treated before by other people?
(M.P.): You could hardly call it treatment. My skin complaint was being attended to, but I rarely used the creams and ointments that were prescribed.
(Therapist); He was given Cortisone tablets for two weeks. (G.V.): What year was that?
(Therapist): When he was twenty years old. He was also given Atarax. (G.V.)-.Why?
(M.P.): I once received a prescription for a psychiatric drug, but I only took it once. I didn’t want to take it again because I didn’t have any confidence in it.
(G.V.): Do you have any problems with urination or with your stool? Any diarrhea, constipation, things like that? (M.P.): Sometimes, once a month or once a year—the intervals vary—I’m constipated and I need enormous strength in order to defecate. This problem goes back to when I was twelve or thirteen; I needed to sort of press very hard to get it out and this still happens from time to time.
(G.V.): But there are times when you feel all right? (M.P.): Actually, I frequently have to expend more than average energy.
(G.V.): Can you urinate in front of others, in a public place? (M.P.): Yes, that’s no problem.
(G. V.): Have you noticed feeling any better after you’ve eaten? (M.P.): My hunger goes away, but I don’t feel better in any other way. But then I eat until I almost feel sick. (G.V.): Do you eat a lot?
(M.P.): Yes. I think this may go back to when I was younger and was forced to eat everything on my plate; I clearly remember that. In the back of my mind, I can still hear my mother saying, »Now, you be a good boy and eat it all up.« (G.V.): Are your nails strong? (M.P.): They’re normal; they are not brittle. (G.V.): Do you have ingrown f-oenails?
