THE BERN SEMINAR_PAGE 22

VIDEO
(F.P.): I’m a wreck all over.
(G.V.): What is the main thing that you feel?
(F.P.): I’ve been feeling a lot of fear and anxiety, and just scared about
life, just everything, it is just really overwhelming for me.
(G.V.): Fear mostly about what?
(F.P.): Being an adult, caring for my responsibilities and having
cnuaren.

LIVE
(G.V.): So now you have a picture of this anxiety state and you know that
it desires water. You think of a lot of different remedies because of what
you observe: her mother is always there, she says she feels like a wreck.
(A.): She doesn’t look childish at all in my opinion.
(G.V.): Well, we’ll see what else happens.
(A.): She looks sour and bitter.
(G.V.): No, I don’t agree.
(A.): She looks sad, closed, desperate, and concerned.
(A.): Helpless.
(G.V.): Rewind the tape a little bit. See the look in her eyes? You will see
the change eventually after the treatment. Does this look hide anything or
is she open? She is open. Her look is innocent, I think. Her look is helpless.
Her expression is soft, pleading, innocent.

VIDEO
(F.P.): I just can’t eat. I’m just so upset inside that I can’t eat.
(G.V.): Do you have a real appetite, but because of the constriction in
your throat nothing goes down?
(F.P.): It won’t go down.
(G. V.): Do you feel a tightness in your throat?
(F.P.): Yes, my stomach is hungry and flat, and I feel that I have to eat
something but I just can’t swallow.
(G. V.): If you try and swallow, what happens?
(F.P.): I start gagging. I threw up on Tuesday night, I had some tomato
soup and I threw that up. I can’t brush my teeth because I gag. Since I
don’t have anything in my stomach, I would have dry heaves; nothing
would come up since there is nothing in my stomach.
(G. V.): Do you feel exhausted?
(F.P.): Yeah.
