THE BERN SEMINAR-PAGE 42

(F.P.): I had some Jello (gelatine), and about six or seven sunflower
seeds and two almonds and a cup of tea.
(G.V.): Did you throw up again?
(F.P.): No, I just had dry heaves this morning before I ate. (Sigh)
(G.V.): You are sighing…
(F.P.): Yes, J just don’t know…
(G.V.): How do you feel, like you’re coming out of a big disease or
something like that?
(F.P.): I just feel I want to get better. I am tense about everything and
worried about my mother, because she has been watching me the last
couple of days, and yesterday I saw how exhausted she was, and that
made me upset.
(G.V.): How did you sleep during the night?
(F.P.): I took a Tylenol® and I slept until about five o’clock this
morning.
LIVE
(G.V.): Tylenol® is an analgesic. I asked why she took the Tylenol®.
VIDEO
(G.V.): From what time? (F.P.): From ten to five.
(G.V.): What is Tylenol®? Tylenol® is for pain, isn’t it? Why did you take that? Because you were in pain?
(F.P.): My gums were hurting because I had been grinding my teeth so much, but I don’t seem to be doing it as much. (G.V.): You are not grinding your teeth now? (F.P.): But I had been doing it earlier.
(G.V.): I see that you are much calmer, although you are still in a state of anxiety. Mostly you are afraid of what is going to happen, this is what J perceive; mostly the fear of whether you are going to get better, or if it just appears so. You are doing much better according to what 1 see, there is no question about that. It may take some time before you really come back to yourself, because what you really felt was that you could not grow up; but I am sure you will get better and belter every day after that. You went through a big crisis, understand that, and your mother is worrying more than she should, and you worry about yourself.
(F.P.): Am 1 going to be feeling up and down then? 1 just feel that I am going to lose it.
