Background: With a peak incidence in the 10–19 years age group, acute appendicitis (AA) is the most common surgical emergency worldwide. The standard treatment procedure remains appendectomy to avoid complications such as its rupture, peritonitis, and sepsis. The COVID-19 pandemic required the global population to stay indoors to stop the spread of the virus, which led to a decline in the number of patients visiting the hospital for non-COVID–19-related emergencies.
Case Presentation: This is a case of a 9-year-old girl who tested positive for COVID-19 and developed AA in the meantime and benefited from individualized classical homeopathy.
Conclusions: Further scientific investigation is necessary to establish the prognostic factors in AA associated with COVID-19, and the relevance of individualized classical homeopathy in treating this complex condition.
