(F.P.): They performed a blood test, but they didn’t find anything. But based on an examination of my joints, how they move, they said that they were sure it’s rheumatism. (G.V.): Do you know what your blood sedimentation rate is? (Therapist): The sedimentation rate was 45 in the first hour and 81 in the second hour. The rheumatoid arthritis test was indeed positive.
(F.P.): The doctors are here in Celle; they said it was pretty bad. (G.V.): The sedimentation rate? Do you know what it is? (F.P.): Yes, the doctor said the sedimentation rate was pretty bad. (G.V.): When did you start biting your cheek? (F.P.): I’m not sure, but I think at least five or six years ago, it might be longer.
(G.V.): Can you describe yourself?
(F.P.): I think the description given by my mother and my sisters is probably right. I am quite prepared to push myself ahead, and I am quite happy to pick a fight to make sure I get what I want. In other words, I’d say that I’m not a compromising person. If a person isn’t quite how I had first imagined them to be, I soon take a dislike to the person. Since I’ve had the children, I am very sensitive.
(G. V.): To others, or to what?
(F.P.): If I see something that isn’t nice, I cry very quickly. (G.V.): In what kind of situation? (F.P.): Bad news in the newspaper. (G.V.): Somebody suffering? (F.P.): Yes.
(G.V.): Are you very sympathetic towards the suffering of others?
(F.P.): That’s probably it.
(G. V.): If your children are suffering, I mean, if they are sick with a fever or pains, for example, are you very sympathetic? (F.P.): That’s not so bad because I’m in a position to help them. (G. V.): How many warts do you have on the soles of your feet? (F.P.): None at the moment, I only had them as a child. (G.V.): Which political party do you belong to?
