side, not possible on her left. Frequent menses, sometimes constant, and sometimes bleeding after coitus. Back pains before onset of menses which get better when the menses start. She often had pimples on her breasts and face during her menses. Bleeding after coitus stopped after taking Argentum nitricum, but at that time she had also started taking hormones. She describes herself as a vivid and excitable person who likes to be the center of attention. She is not fastidious, she says, which is a problem at home because her husband is very irritable and she has to take a lot from him. At those times she has to hold herself back. She likes sex once a week. We gave Lachesis, Phosphorus, Pulsatilla, Argentum nitricum, Spigelia, Calcarea, Sulphur, and the last remedy was Natrum muriaticum. (G. V.): Wasn’t there an effect with Lachesis? (Therapist): No. It was a low potency, but it did not show any effect. She took it up to three times a day. (G. V.): Why are you so depressed? (F.P.): I don’t really know. (G. V.): When did the depression start? (F.P.): When menopause began. (G. V.): How old are your children?
(F.P.): Twenty-nine, twenty-eight, and twenty-five years old. (G. V.): Are they all boys? (F.P.): The boy is the middle one. (G. V): Are your daughters married?
(F.P.): The eldest girl is married, but the other two children aren’t. (G. V): Do they live at home?
(F.P.): Two of them still live at home. My son is still studying, and one of my daughters still lives at home.
(G. V.): Do you feel that the two children living at home still need you?
(F.P.): No, they don’t really need me, and maybe this has something to do with my depression, that I feel a little bit as if they don’t really need me anymore. My daughter wants to be independent. (G. V.): Do you feel that this is the cause of your depression?
