Celle Seminar I, Case 13: Chorioretinitis

(F.P.): Yes, I felt very bad and I thought everyone could read it on my face.
(G. V.): Did you have the feeling that others were talking about you?
(F.P.): Yes, I thought that sometimes.
(G. V.): Did they really talk about you, or was that just your impression?
(F.P.): I’m not sure, maybe it was just my impression. But I do think that sometimes friends of ours talked about me in not such a nice way. I’d rather not think so, not think about what they said about me, it makes me lose confidence in them. I had good relations with them and this disturbed things. (G. V.): And then you cut yourself off from them? (F.P.): Sometimes, when I’m feeling very well, it’s easier to talk about everything, but most of the time I can’t. (G. V.): Is it that most of the time you feel weak and unprotected? Do you want protection?
(F.P.): On the one hand, I want protection, but on the other, I want to be by myself, independent, and manage everything alone.
(G.V.): Do your nails break easily? (F.P.): They are normal. (G. V.): Do you perspire a lot?
(P.P.): Very little. In the summertime in Italy I can sweat, but not in Germany. I very seldom perspire. (G.V.): What else have you written there?
(P.P.): I think I’ve mentioned a lot of things; I’ve mentioned most of what I have written.
(G. V.): What else do you like to eat besides sweets? (PP.): I like potatoes in all forms and eggs in all forms, vegetables, milk.
(G.V.): Do you have problems in high places when you look down? Do you get dizzy or feel fear? (P.P.): Fear. (G. V.): Intense fear? (PP.): Yes.
