Case 13: Chorioretinitis

LIVE

(G.V): My aim in showing you the initial interview is to see whether you can spot the remedy. The patient came to Athens about fifteen months ago to be seen by me.
The diagnosis of chorioretinitis was made in a hospital. She had the first bout in 1974, when she was twenty-four years old. In 1984, she had another inflammation of this type. At the time of the clip you are about to see, vision in one of her eyes was already reduced by approximately 80%; the other eye was only slightly affected.
INTERVIEWVIDEO
(G.V.): So, you are thirty-five years old? (F.P.): Yes.
(G. V.): Can you give me some information on your family history? Were there any problems?
(F.P.): Problems about health? My mother has a heart condition. (G.V.): Does she take medicine? (F.P.): Yes.
(G. V.): How old is your mother? (F.P.): Now she is sixty.
(G. V.): Does she have any problems with her eyes? (F.P.): No, none. She is a corpulent person, she smokes a lot. (G. V.): Do you also smoke?
(F.P.): I did smoke, but I stopped. I reduced my smoking three years ago, and I stopped altogether a month ago. (G. V.): And your father, does he have problems with his eyes? (F.P.): No, I think he is someone who generally feels quite well. (G.V.): You were twenty-four when you had the first inflammation? (F.P.): Yes.
