Celle Seminar I, Case 10: Neurodermatitis

then after two or three years. Suddenly the Sepia picture crops up again, and with it you see a beautiful reaction. Every month she continues to get better and better. Do you see my point? Her recovery is not due to Sepia but rather to Millefolium, which she needed first. In spite of the fact that she was not directly ameliorated by Millefolium, it was an intelligent prescription. After receiving the remedy she admitted no real changes, and those that she did mention were only negative. Nevertheless, Millefolium did serve to clearly point out the next remedy.
(A.9): Medorrbinum has this red eczema around the diaper area. Here we see the opposite, which would point out special remedies.
(G.V.): I don’t understand this. Most probably this is a chemical phenomenon due to the plastic used in diapers, but I’m not sure. I’m also not sure if the diapers could be the cause of the eruptions. I believe that there is a kind of a chemical phenomenon involved here, and a sort of suppression because of the diapers, and that together these two things do not allow a manifestation of his illness in the area you’d expect.
(A. 10): I have an idea why the eruption phenomena is better in the diaper area. Perhaps it is not because of the warmth, but rather due to pressure. You said that the child was a little better with Natrum muriaticum and that he had a difficult character before the eruptions. For this reason I would turn to China because it is very similar to Natrum muriaticum, is seen with difficult children, has eruptions, a tympanitic abdomen, and undigested stools.
(G.V.): When you read something, you have to read it properly. It is said that China is better from hard pressure, and that light pressure makes it worse. Is wearing a diaper a light or a hard sort of pressure? You have to sort out things like this immediately. We can argue and argue all the remedies of the materia medica. How many have eruptions? A lot. And since all these remedies can be indicated, you have to base your remedy on facts and not on suspicion or fantasy.
