(M.P.): (laughs) It’s a general thing; I don’t like answering too many questions.
(G.V.): Why? Are you afraid of being humiliated? (M.P.j: No, it’s not that, but I have to search inside to find all the answers to the questions you ask. It’s like going to the police and they ask you, »Where do you come from, what are you doing?« While abroad four policemen came into my house and they searched me all over, right on the spot, and they also asked a lot of questions. I got very angry about that, and a policeman said, »It’s not something to get excited about, it’s normal, isn’t it?« (G.V.): Yes, but this is another situation altogether. (M.P.): Yes, I know, but I still have to remind myself that these people are trying to help me. (G.V.): Is the interrogation too heavy?
(M.P.): Yes, I’m feeling spontaneously that I would like to block all this.
(G.V.): Now you are telling the truth. If you don’t use your mind so much and are more spontaneous there will be no problem. What do you have to hide? You see, you cannot hide very much. (M.P.): (laughs) You are looking at your computer, (laughs again) »You can’t hide very much!« (laughs) It’s like science fiction! (G.V.): (laughs) Yes, it is! You’d be surprised with this computer! It’s all right. You are a very intelligent person, so it is very difficult for you to get away from trying to find explanations. Before you give an answer you explain things to yourself, run them through your mind. You question why all these questions are being asked and what is the importance of the answers you give. It’s all very planned and rational.
(M.P.): Yes, but this kind of self-analysis is tiresome. My therapist wants me to write down my dreams. I tried two or three times, then I stopped because I can’t wake up and write my dreams down!
(G.V.): Do you have any recurring dreams? (M.P.): No. Sometimes I get the feeling that I have dreams about the future. Sometimes I have the feeling that I’ve dreamt things
