(M.P.): Only very slightly, not so they’d cause me problems. (G.V.): Do your feet perspire a lot? (M.P.): Moderately.
(G. V.): As much as your head and neck, or less, or the same? (M.P.): More or less the same, although I know that, in principle, feet tend to sweat more.
(G. V.): Is the perspiration from your feet offensive? (M.P.): No.
(G.V.): How do you feel talking before so many people? (M.P.): I’m not in a position where I have to prove myself, and I’m not in a position where I have to show people what I can or cannot do. I’m not under pressure. On the other hand, if I knew that I was appearing on Federal German Television, I don’t think I’d feel that good now. (Therapist): He used to bite his nails. (G.V.): When? As a child? (M.P.): I chewed my cuticles. (G.V.): Can you eat onions? (M.P.): Yes.
(G.V.): Without a problem? (M.P.): Yes.
(G.V.): Do you know whether or not you were vaccinated as a child?
(Therapist): Yes, he was vaccinated against smallpox. (G. V.): At what age? When he was small? (Therapist): Yes, in primary school.
(G.V.): At what age would you say your problem really started? (M.P.): I think that it must have started a long time ago, when I was very, very little, because when I was undergoing hypnosis-(G.V.): You underwent hypnosis? At what age? (Therapist): A year ago.
(M.P.): 1 recalled a specific incident under hypnosis that happened when I was two-and-a-half years ago: some other little boys threw sand at me, and I remember that I didn’t retaliate by throwing sand back. I suspect that’s due to the fact that I retreat into myself every time something like that happens. I’m not
