The sort of relapse that threatens in difficult cases of this kind is especially hard to handle: the organism goes into a state in which you can very easily miss the remedy because it’s too deep and too confused. Keep this in mind with homeopathy, otherwise you will be disappointed. This woman will have to receive antibiotics if she goes back into a pneumonia state because Pulsatilla will no longer be able to help her.

(Therapist): …she now feels stronger, but it’s still day-by-day. Oh, and the fever: each day it has held down another degree; right now it is staying under 100, yesterday it was staying under 101, and you remember it was like 102,103 before.
(G.V.): Is she pressing you about when she can go back to work? (Therapist): No. She did actually, well not today, she did say, »well, how long does this thing usually take?« She was prepared for four to six weeks or something. (G.V.): Good. Thank you. (Therapist): Thank you.

(G.V.): This is the follow-up:

(F.P.): It doesn’t last usually more than about five hours and it’s not
always comfortable, but it seems to be getting better each day. I’m
clearly progressing; slowly but steadily.
(G.V.): What about the headache? Do you get headaches?
(F.P.): Well, perhaps you will remember I had very severe, continuous,
different kinds of headaches all at the same time, and most of that has
disappeared. I do have still a kind of congested, thick feeling in my
head, and sometimes it turns into a headache, but it’s not on the order
of what it was before at all. It’s much improved.
(G.V.): How is your energy?
(F.P.): It’s better. I certainly feel almost like a natural human being.
But I get very tired, very easily, so I’m pretty weak.
(G.V.): You still have to be pretty careful not to overexert yourself. I
mean, as you said yourself, you’d been exerting yourself tremendously
