Much fatigue, at noon even more fatigued than in the evening. Fainting from pressure upon the head.
Desire for warmth of the stove.
Causation
Brain injury, especially commotio cerebri; other injuries; suppression of pustular skin eruptions on the head and face; coldness; emotions, especially fright. Worse from every jar, noise, or touch, especially from touching the head; also from catching a cold; from every draught of air; from tobacco smoke; from turning the head. Amelioration from warmth; by thinking about the exact nature of the pain; by discharge of flatus. Sore pains, sensations as if from a blow or shock, in different parts of the body.
Vertigo
Vertigo is an important symptom of Cicuta. It can be coupled with a feeling as if one is about to fall forward, with staggering as if drunk, or with a drunken feeling when walking, standing, or sitting; frequently with actual falling to the ground. ‘When stooping, sensation as if he should fall with the head first.’ The vertigo may be accompanied by buzzing in the ears, obscuration of sight, a stinging headache, anxiety, oppression of breath, etc.
Vertigo as if all objects were turning in a circle, even for hours; or with the sensation that objects approach him and then again recede, or move to and fro. Has the urgent desire to hold onto something because of this ‘wavering’ or turning motion before the eyes; feels as if he is wavering himself because of this apparent motion of objects.
When walking, vertigo with obscuration of vision and a wavering of objects before the eyes.
Vertigo on sitting up in bed, with a circular motion of objects before the eyes, obscuration of vision; has to lie down again immediately.
Vertigo, and also disturbances of the sense of equilibrium without actual vertigo, after an injury to the head, often with violent headache and disturbed vision.
