Nose and Face
Tickling sensation, first in one, then in the other nostril, with watery discharge. Complexion dirty and yellowish or earthy; sometimes also florid. Greyish- yellow, collapsed face.
Expression fretful, languid.
Nose-bleed; with liver or spleen disease; habitual epistaxis; relieving the vertigo.
Mouth
A characteristic is a moist tongue with whitish coating in the middle, but reddened edges and tip.
A bitter taste in the mouth accompanies many symptoms.
A key-note: smooth sensation of mucous membrane of palate, as though covered with grease. On the other hand, a feeling of roughness and dryness on the palate and pharynx with irritation, causing a dry cough is also reported. Saliva collects in the mouth.
Throat
A burning in the oesophagus like heartburn, with repeated empty eructation. Burning and stinging in tonsils and pharynx.
Rough feeling in the throat and pyrosis (water-brash).
Dryness in the throat.
Cough, Respiration and Chest
The characteristics in this area are the stitches in the side of the chest with their tendency to wander all over the thorax, the back, and the abdomen; cough with bloody sputa, sometimes of pure blood, sometimes of mucus with bloody streaks; and the respiratory encumbrance and coughing triggered by pressure on right hypochondrium. respiratory symptoms are associated with hepatic symptoms.
Irritation to cough in the posterior side of larynx. The cough is often short and dry and may or may not be preceded by tickling. Dry cough, with pain at lower angle of right scapula, radiating to the right chest (compare Chelidonium). Violent cough, with expectoration of tough and scanty, or thick and profuse
